JOHNNY CULLEN

FOUNDER, Change management consultant and senior content designer.

Johnny offers you 15 years of experience in change management, content design, and copywriting.

For over eight years he’s worked with the NHS, on large-scale transformational projects in primary care. From 2020-2021, Johnny helped write official GOV.UK guidance on COVID-19.

Along with COVID-19, he’s been involved with other major change projects for the UK government. They cover post-Brexit trade arrangements, and new legislation introduced after the Grenfell Tower fire.

As a content designer and copywriter, Johnny’s written extensively for the BBC on science, astronomy, and space exploration. His other creative clients have included Britvic, Casio, the Great Run Company, HarperCollins, Millie’s Cookies, Oracle, and Peugeot.

Johnny’s written technical content and copy for clients in the science, technology, insurance, and higher education sectors. Examples include Envigo, Pfizer, Axis Insurance, NFU Mutual, Aston University, and the University of Birmingham.

This combination of creativity and technical writing allows Johnny to design content on complex subjects that is accessible to non-specialist audiences - while keeping stakeholders in policy and legal happy.

Johnny’s a Member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (MCIPR), having studied public relations at Birmingham City University when he changed career to become a copywriter in his 30s.

Recently Johnny returned there to guest lecture on content design, creativity, and the power of personal change.

Born and raised in England, Johnny now spends much of his time in Barcelona and the French Pyrenees. Outside of work, he competes as an endurance athlete across Europe.
